VAS IT YESTERDAY?

Like a distant echo,it hums;
The sound of wail,cackle and laughter;
Tiny foots that marched on!
Dragging piggybacks and chaos along.
Fights for toffee,love and care;
Knuckled up punches,squeals of pain,
Flashes of memories that just roll by!
oh! why we grew?

Our souls knew freedom;
The sense of charisma and esctasy,
The shrill laughter pulsing through us;
The miles our heart journeyed,
To unforeseen galaxies,with joy abounding.
Peaceful slumber,sucking thumbs,
A pat from mum,a careless kiss,
A breathtaking hug...we slither away;
oh!why we grew?

Tricks played,traps laid;
Life cheats...lost are our childhood;
Lost to time...are our sizzling moments;
To be graphed onto our memory plates!
Lost are... the enchanting bliss,spotless purity,
Rhythmic beats of a living soul.
Left are we..to grapple with;
Unanswerable questions aplenty!
oh!why we grew?
